WRN Discount! Adjustable Brake and Clutch Levers for Harley-Davidsons

Adjustability for small or large hands

Hog Leverage is an aftermarket company that makes adjustable clutch and brake levers for Harley-Davidson motorcycles (Harleys do not come with levers that can be moved closer or farther away from the handgrip to accommodate finger length). Now, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hog Leverage is offering readers of Women Riders Now (WRN) an exclusive discount on the pink-colored adjuster levers.

Hog Leverage levers replace the stock brake and clutch levers on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, allowing the lever to be moved closer to the handgrip at several stopping points. The levers can also be adjusted farther away for riders with an extra-long reach.

Heres the WRN Discount
From today through the end of October, readers of WRN can receive 15 percent off the retail price of Hog Leverage adjustable clutch and brake levers in either chrome or black with pink adjuster knobs. These are available for 2008-2013 Harley-Davidson touring models only. Retail prices range from about $140 to $160 per lever, depending on the type of finish you choose. The same 15 percent discount applies to the lever-with-pink-knob-combo for earlier touring Harley-Davidson models, Sportsters, V-Rods, etc. The pink knob adds $8.98 per lever to the price before the discount.

For riders who have a Hog Leverage lever set already installed on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle and want to purchase just the pink adjuster knob to replace the black or colored one they have already, they can receive 15 percent off the retail price of the knob, priced at $26.58, now through October 31.

To take advantage of the discount, place an order by calling 714.842.2603 and use offer code WRN 1013.You can visit HogLeverage.com to see the entire product line, but you will need to order by phone to receive the discount (talking to an associate will ensure you choose the correct set for your motorcycle). The deal expires October 31, 2013.

If youd like to use these pink adjusters but have a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that is not a 2008 or later touring model, youll need to purchase the levers and the pink knob separately. However, youll still receive the standard and exclusive WRN discount of 10 percent off your order. The levers are available for nearly every model Harley-Davidson going back to the mid-1990s.

The adjusters are also available in blue, yellow, red, orange, gray, and black (not shown in this photo).

Installation instructions are included, as we mentioned in our original story on the Hog Leverage levers, but the company recommends a trained technician unless you know what you’re doing when it comes to critical control components such as clutch and brake levers. Average installation time should be no more than 30 minutes..

Hog Leverage imports these levers and components from an England-based manufacturer called Oberon. They are plated and assembled in the United States. As one Hog Leverage representative told us, “These levers are not mass manufactured. They are made in small batches to tight tolerances from aircraft grade materials. Fit and finish are absolutely first class.” Plus, this is the only company WRN has ever featured that offers aftermarket adjustable levers for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Remember, not all hands are made the same; the brakes and clutch work more effectively when the control levers can be adjusted to fit your hand size.

  1. Ordered these for my Haley-Davidson 2017 Street Glide and they are awesome. I mentioned I heard about about them on WRN and they gave me the 15% discount. They arrived no fuss to my Canadian address in less than a week. Had my mechanic hubby install. He said it was remarkably easy to install. I am so happy with these! They brought the controls almost a full inch closer for me. Also a lot lower than the stiff stock levers that the bike came with. Thank you so much for the recommendation. It has made the world of difference.

  2. Thanks for the legwork Genevieve. I have also been doing some research, and got in touch with Nice Cycles and they say that this — http://www.nicecycle.com/Honda-Motorcycle-Levers-p/adj%20lever%2091-16.htm — will fit all year Honda Shadow VT750s and I asked specifically about the Phantom and they said it should fit. Also waiting to hear back from another company MotoSports.com to see if they have adjustable levers that fit the Phantom specifically. You would think there’d be lots of aftermarket levers for all different brands/models, especially for Honda, but I’m finding that I chose yet another tough bike for aftermarket parts. My first bike a 2008 Yamaha V Star 250, was even tougher for parts as not even Yamaha carried the parts, and aftermarket was little to none. As always, keep up the great advice on WRN. I love reading all the stories and tips from other women riders!

  4. I was going through your articles looking for this one and wondered if you have reviews or have provided a list of other companies that may make adjustable or reduced reached levers (both clutch and brake) for non-Harley bikes. I have a 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom, but am having issues with the reach, esp on the clutch side. Welcome any suggestions from WRN and its readers with smaller hands, shorter fingers. I’ve been doing internet searches but coming up a bit blank. Thank you ladies. Keep the shiny side up!

    1. I got in touch with the folks at Hog Leverage and this is their response: “Our ‘Honda guru’ says he thinks that adjustable levers from a CBR of approximately the same year might work. I got online and aftermarketcycles.com and it shows some Shadow-specific ones. Might be worth investigating. Check online forums as well.”

  5. I am looking for an adjustable hydraulic clutch lever for my 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited Low that I have just purchased. This is the first year for the clutch levers to be hydraulic and not cable, which is making it difficult to adjust the tension area (or friction zone ) on the clutch lever. Do you have a clutch that is for me which is a smaller hand and missing two fingers or do you have any information as to where I can find one. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    1. You will need to contact the company directly with that question. Their website is at the end of the article.

  6. I love, love, love, my levers. One caveat though: forgot to warn my mechanic when he took it for a test drive – he is quite larger than I am!

  7. I am looking for an adjustable hydraulic clutch lever for my 2014 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide that I have just purchased. This is the first year for the clutch levers to be hydraulic and not cable, which is making it difficult to adjust the tension area (or friction zone ) on the clutch lever. Do you have a clutch that is for men which is larger which would do the same thing as the women’s or do you have any information as to where I can find one. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Contact the Hog Leverage directly as I believe that the adjustable levers also adjust for bigger hands. Their website is at the end of the article.

  8. Hi I am looking for adjustable levers for 2014 Harley Davidson trike. Thanks

    1. Please contact the company directly with that question. Their contact information is at the end of the story where you posted your comment.

  9. I have a set of these levers for my 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster Super Low and I LOVE them! Mine are not the pink (Breast Cancer Awareness) knob levers since I bought mine in 2012. It’s way cool that the pink knobs are offered. These levers definitely do what they claim to. I had a hard time before reaching my levers since my hands are small. Now I can adjust them to fit me instead of me having to fit them. These are without a doubt one of the best ‘blingy’ things that I have bought for my bike and I found them here on WRN.Thanks for the review!
