Brown Leather Accessories From Harley-Davidson

A break from basic black

Tired of biker black? What something different for your motorcycle? Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories is introducing a line of distressed brown leather accessories for Dyna models: a seat, pillion, backrest pad and saddlebags. Each is styled to impart the minimalistic style of a 1950s garage-built custom. The supple, untreated leather surfaces will age and weather like a vintage bomber jacket for a warm, comfortable feel.

Each saddlebag has dark-metal snaps and buckles, and an embossed Bar Shield logo.

The large-capacity (2,380 cubic inches combined) Distressed Brown Leather Saddlebags (P/N [part number] 88348-10, $599.95) have a rigid-back construction that helps each bag hold its shape. Fits most 2002-later Dyna models (except 2002-2005 and 2010 Wide Glide). Requires model-specific mounting hardware kit and turn-signal relocation kit, sold separately.

The Low Profile Solo Seat – Distressed Brown Leather (P/N 51937-10, $339.95) hugs the frame for a slammed look, while its deep-bucket shape cradles the rider in comfort. To accommodate a passenger, add the matching “fender pad.” Also, add the Passenger Pillion, in Distressed Brown Leather, (P/N 54089-10, $199.95) with leather skirts and grab strap thats easy to install and remove. Both the seat and pillion fit 2006-later Dyna models.

The Low Profile Solo Seat has a deep-bucket shape that cradles the rider for long-distance comfort.

The Low Backrest Pad – Distressed Brown Leather (P/N 54091-10, $89.95) is sized to match a Low Medallion Plate Sissy Bar Upright (sold separately).

The backrest pad shows off vintage distressed brown leather.

  1. I would like to have a matching tank and fender bibs to go with my distressed brown leather solo seat. I have the pillion, but the fender looks better with just the bib. I have a 2012 Super Glide Custom.

  2. I am looking for the distressed brown leather solo seat and the passenger pillon for a 2005 Dyna Low Rider and all I can come up with is 06 and up. Can you give me any help on this?

    1. Check with your local Harley dealer. Harley may have expanded its brown leather offerings from what we have listed here, but I’m guessing you may have to go to an aftermarket company.

  3. I have an awesome 2006 Harley 1200cc Custom and am aching for brown leather seat and saddlebags. What you got?

  4. I am interested in brown seat and saddlebags for 07 1200XL Sportster
Are they made for my bike.

  5. Got anything like this without a Harley logo on it? I have a 2002 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 that I want to dress in brown leather instead of the black to compliment the orange with ghost flames.

  6. Very cool! I thought that the brown, worn kind of bomber jacket look gave the new Indian bikes such an awesome style! Now I need to find something that will fit my Road King.

  7. I just ordered a 2010 Fat Boy Low and would like to know if this set will fit it. It's just what I was looking for. Thanks!

  8. Do they make this for the Deluxe? This would be a great look for my bike, I really like the seat.
I don't care for the hard bags that are available for the Deluxe. These would be a really nice option.

  9. I am happy to see some brown bike accessories coming out! I have always had horses as well and the brown horse saddles and bridles were always my favorite. Now, we can have a brown saddle on a bike!

  10. I recovered my H-D Deluxe in vintage brown leather. Unfortunately, replacing my saddlebags will be very expensive; nobody does off-the-shelf brown bags, so I have to have them custom made. Maybe H-D will make these for the Deluxe someday? I also had the tank bib custom made in brown.

My Deluxe always gets lots of comments with the brown leather setup, so I wouldn't change it.

  11. The idea of brown leather for HD is a way to recapture the '50's vintage style. This is eye catching and generally I like and would choose something that has a flair of tradition plus a personal touch of style combination. Again, this is eye catching, but I am a bit surprised that my reaction is “I've always loved brown leather and wearing/carrying brown probably better suites me…BUT… black Leather is a Noted Motorcycle Tradition and my personal pick.” I could be slow to come around to the brown leather for the motorcycle sport. Time will tell.
