Dyna Models

A smooth ride in a classic package

The Dyna model family, which goes by the designation FXD, consists of six motorcycles all built around the same chassis. The Twin Cam engine is rubber mounted to the frame thereby reducing vibration versus the counterbalanced engine on the Softails. The rear spring loaded shocks are also visible versus the hidden rear shocks on the Softails. The Dyna models offer a very smooth ride and boast the lightest clutch lever effort of any of the other platforms. All Dynas are powered by a 1584cc fuel injected motor combined with a six-speed gearbox. Braided stainless steel brake lines are standard equipment for all 2008 Dyna models. FXD Dyna Super Glide
Specs at a Glance:
Displacement: 1584cc
Seat Height: 26.6 inches
Fuel Capacity: 4.8 gallons
Weight: 663 pounds
Price: starts at $11,995

Description
The Dyna in its purest form, the Super Glide is the least expensive of the Dyna models with a solo seat, and a silver powder coated engine and polished aluminum components. These and other parts are chrome on the other Dynas. This is the most afforable of the Big Twin Harleys making it a great starting point for customization. The Super Glide has a 29-degree fork angle whereas the Low Rider has a 30-degree fork angle, meaning the forks are a little more “kicked out” on the Low Rider. Mid-mount foot controls and low rise handlebars give the Super Glide the sportiest feel of all the Dynas.

FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom
Specs at a Glance:
Displacement: 1584cc
Seat Height: 26.8 inches
Fuel Capacity: 5 gallons
Weight: 676 pounds
Price: starts at $12,995

Description
The Dyna Super Glide Custom is a step from the Super Glide featuring laced wheels (versus mag wheels on the Super Glide), a two-up seat, and a lot more chrome. It has a slightly bigger fuel tank and a console mounted speedometer, versus handlebar mounted on the Super Glide. The Custom offers the same performance as the Super Glide with a little extra flash and function.

FXDB Dyna Street Bob
Specs at a Glance:
Displacement: 1584cc
Seat Height: 25.8 inches
Fuel Capacity: 4.8 gallons
Weight: 667 pounds
Price: starts at $13,795

Description
The Dyna Street Bob is completely different in styling over the other Dynas with its classic bobber look. Mini-apehanger handlebars, a solo seat, laced wheels, and wrinkle black paint details on some of the components give the bike a unique look. The 25.8-inch seat height is the lowest of the Dynas, which the Low Rider boasts, as well. The Street Bob is a fun motorcycle to ride for those who like the performance of the Dyna models, but in a package thats full of attitude.

FXDF Dyna Fat Bob
Specs at a Glance:
Displacement: 1584cc
Seat Height: 26.1 inches
Fuel Capacity: 5 gallons
Weight: 703 pounds
Price: starts at $14,795

Description
The Dyna Fat Bob is the newest model to the Dyna family with yet another distinct look. It sports drag style handlebars, dual headlamps, and the most imposing feature, we think, the big 130mm 16-inch front tire (versus the 90mm and 100mm on the other Dynas). The rear is also bigger than the other Dynas at 180mm. The tires are mounted to unique silver slotted cast aluminum wheels. The bobtail rear fender and drag style handlebars are a departure from the traditional Dyna look. Because of the larger tires and foward handlebars, the Fat Bob offers a very different ride than the other Dynas.

The Dyna Low Rider shares bragging rights with the Street Bob as the lowest Dyna model.
