I have been riding my own for about 20 years now and totally love it. I belong to Women On Wheels Heartland (St. Louis, Mo.) chapter. We are very active and ride a lot. I'm retired and always looking for people to ride with. I'd love to meet you guys and will seriously consider the meeting in Col. in 2015. How cool is that? Oh yes, I just traded up from a V Star 650 to V Star 1300 Touring bike two years ago.

Dear Sash . . . my sister of the wind. I love seeing this come to life. Sharing your adventures and praying for you through your treacherous journey to get to the Summit connected us forever in the place where spiritual connections are made. Your strength and determination and your total commitment to your goal was empowering to all who were touched by your power of positive energy. I look forward to more Sashiness!

I am so glad I came across this article through Facebook. I am marking my calendar for next year! I am an avid rider -- have been since I was little -- and now that I am an empty-nester I am ready to ride the country. Can't wait to meet you all. Spread your wings and ride safe!

I attended the Summit and met Sash, who is a wonderful, loving spirit! She has so much to give and I enjoyed visiting with her. I rode through high winds, blowing dust, and snow in Raton Pass in order to make the Summit. I met many other great women, such as Genevieve Schmitt, Laura Klock, Michele Wierzgac, and of course, Joan Krenning. Hearing other women's stories of using motorcycling as a means of getting through adversity was inspiring. Everyone has a story of why and how s/he got into motorcycling and I am so glad I got to hear some of them. I was the first person to register for next year!

Editor Response
Shelley,
Thanks for your feedback and thanks for registering for next year! Part of my joy in the event was meeting longtime readers and "fans" of WRN such as yourself. Your story is amazing and I'm honored that I got to hear part of it at the event. Looking forward to seeing you again down the road. Enjoy your summer!
