I've always loved motorcycles but never had the opportunity to ride. Recently widowed, I've decided to make some changes. I went for my first Harley ride a couple weeks ago and I'm hooked!

Obviously I'm a beginner. I need a lightweight bike so I can learn to handle it but I also need power. I loved the powerful feeling and love the strong sound of the Harley's rumble.

I'm drawn to the lighter Harley. The Triumph comes in second, but then the second picture of the Italian bike sticks with me. I don't like the tucked-up leg look or feel so the Italian has that strike against it.

Love my Triumph Street Triple -- light weight, handles amazing, and plenty of get up and go. You don't need to be tall as the light, well balanced weight make it great fun to ride.

I ride a Yamaha FZ-09, which I love. But the bike that I own that turns the most heads when I'm on it is the R3 that I got last summer. The bike is a good starter bike, is lightweight and easy to handle. The FZ-09 is also light at 417 pounds and is a great bike for a more experienced rider.

Thanks for your feedback on both of those really good motorcycles for women.

I'd pick the Ducati (for my second, fun bike), for no other reasons than it's got enough power and looks cool!
