Great info article on the 2014 models. I'm picking up my 2014 Street Glide Special this weekend and really looking forward to it. This will be my third Harley, my current one is a 2007 Softail Deluxe. The test ride completely sold me with the handling (no more scraping floorboards). Not many women riders around here so it was refreshing to find this site dedicated to women riders.

2014 FLHXS Street Glide! Awesome! This is my fourth Harley and my first brand new one. The story goes like this. The local dealer was having free pancakes and sausages. Anytime you can get something for free from HD I'm all over it. So I have no intention of trading my Street Glide (Black Betty Page), she has just turned 80,000 miles and I love her.

So I'm enjoying my cold breakfast and just checking out the shiny things when this salesman tells me they are offering full retail trade in value and good deals on Rushmores. Long story short we traded wifes 04 Road King and my Street Glide and left with a new Road King and Street Glide. I have 1000 miles on the Street Glide and can't express how impressed I am.

Comfort, handling, styling, power all hit out of the park. I'm have a constant smile. Nice job HD. Must admit though, the Boom could be a lot more intuitive. Having to re-set up the Bluetooth every time I start the bike is dumb. But of course I didn't buy her to listen to the radio.

Overall, I am constantly grinning like when I bought my first basket case '64 Electra in 1978. This article is right on the money. Screw this, I'm going for a ride.

Thanks for your feedback Kenny. I was just thinking that my 2008 Street Glide is showing its age in terms of how "slow" it is compared to the newer models, and I have a Stage 1 kit in it! Good to know you like the newer model. Food for thought for me!

I am a proud new owner of a 2014 Road King. I am only 5 feet 3 inches and traded in my 2013 Street Glide because I just didn't like the fairing blocking my view of the road and also the weight of the handlebars was too much for me, especially in very windy conditions. My husband encouraged me to try the Road King. I picked it up yesterday and instantly felt the difference. The new model includes all the upgrades he put on his 2009 Road King Classic, which he loves. Thanks for the website! It's always encouraging.

Thank you for the detail article. I had to go see for myself and am now the proud owner of a '14 Street Glide. This bike is amazing especially with the added boom audio. This is a graduated leap for me but much needed as my 5-foot 10-inch frame was cramped in my Sportster 1200XL. Looking forward to the long rides next summer!
