Great article and I hope to purchase a Kymco Like 200 shortly. I am 78 and just started in my prime to enjoy scootering. Thank you.

I started out on a 250 Suzuki Burgman and rode it for the first three years then moved to the Harley and there are times (in the summer mostly) I miss the scooter. I loved riding it, but I do love my Harley. I didn't have any problems moving to a clutch and foot brake at all.

I purchased a Kymco Grand Vista (250cc) scoot last year. It is a great fit for 5 feet 3 inch rider. Roads around here all run at 50mph or so. It is perfect as an in-town bike, running errands, trips to the beach, and it appears to be close to bullet proof. I've ridden all manner of bikes for 40+ years and that li'l scoot is more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Kymco makes great scooters, and their maxi-scooters are excellent machines. However, if the writer really wants to be blown away by a scooter, she needs to do a test ride of a Suzuki Burgman 650. On my Burgman I can cruise all day at 85 mph without breaking a sweat, and keep up with my motorcycle group with no problems whatsoever. I loved my motorcycle, but the Burgman is a truly wonderful experience.
