Excellent article. I bought the 2007 new. I've enjoyed the long distance rides and those closer to home. I think, however, since there were cooler temps during her ride, she didn't get the real feel of the seat. It's hot, engine heat wells up. Seat's hard too. I put a thermal sheet under the seat and use an Airhawk seat cushion and/or sheepskin. Throttle Meister for the "cruise" control works OK.

Great article. I just might have to try out a Norge if I can find one.

I have just purchased a new Norge GTL, and would like to know if has anyone found a conversion kit to move the low mounted muffler to a higher position to reveal the rear wheel and also make for easier removal and, in my view, would also look better?

I enjoyed reading your article on the Moto Guzzi Norge. I have a 2000 Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES and the 2008 Norge I looked at was very nice. Being only 5 feet 7 inches tall, I fit the Norge very well. It may be my next motorcycle for long distance touring. One bit of information to share with your readers is about the oil filter on the Norge. Make sure you get the correct filter socket tool (Harper's Moto Guzzi has it) and make sure you tighten the filter 3/4 to 1 turn after hand tight with the filter socket. Double check for leaks on the filter. Also buy the final drive gear oil which has the moly [additive] in it from Moto Guzzi. Then enjoy.
