Testing Kawasaki's long-in-the-saddle bikes

By Carla King
8/23/2010: People ask me, “What is a touring bike?” and I always say it’s any bike you’re touring on. I know I know, but really, unless you’re doing some truly hardcore riding, anything with a decent-sized gas tank that’s comfortable for a couple-day’s ride that you can strap some gear on is fine. Still, it’s very nice to have a bike that’s actually built for touring and the 650cc Versys is a versatile choice.

Video Test Ride: Hyosung Cruisers

WRN reviews two budget beginner bikes

7/18/2010: WRN's Genevieve Schmitt and Betsy Huelskamp were two of the first journalists to test ride Hyosung's cruiser models, the GV 250 and GV 650, back in November 2008. Hyosung is a Korean manufacturer that began importing a limited line of cruisers and sportbikes to the United States in 2005.

Video Test Ride: V Star 1300

WRN reviews this sporty cruiser

By Genevieve Schmitt
7/18/2010: WRN is resurrecting some motorcycle video test rides. Here's one we did on the 2008 V Star 1300, which is a step up in power over the 1100. The 1300 features an all new engine and styling -- call it the next generation V Star. The motorcycle is extremely smooth and predictable, and considering it weighs about 625 pounds, it moves along like its a much lighter machine.

REVIEW: Can-Am Spyder RS-S

Three-wheels that two-wheeled riders can get exited about

By Genevieve Schmitt, Photos by Rene Bruce
6/27/2010: I finally got my opportunity to ride this infamous three-wheeler that has onlookers everywhere doing a doubletake. Women Riders Now reviewed BRP's Can-Am Spyder roadster in 2007 when the unusual three-wheeler first hit the market. WRN contributor Perri Capell test rode the Spyder then. Now two model years later with improved handling and more options, I'm getting my chance to feel firsthand what all the fuss is about.

Review: 2010 Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight

Don't let the brawny looks fool you

By Pamela Collins
6/15/2010: Looking cool, being seen, wearing the attitude -- we all know the types that cruise the boulevards on chopped, custom motorcycles that seem to wear more style than steel. Now Harley-Davidson has made entering that club of cool easy with one of its latest Sportster models, the XL1200X Forty-Eight.

2010 Honda Phantom: The Dark Shadow

Perfect for women who love the dark side

By Pamela Collins
5/5/2010: For years, Honda’s Shadow line of cruiser motorcycles has offered riders a pleasing combination of comfortable ergonomics, lighter weight, adequate power and lower price point, and its popularity has proved that the bikes are anything but scary to legions of motorcyclists. Now Honda has unveiled a newly styled model whose looks better reflect the dark nature of the Shadow name.

Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide Gets A Makeover

How does the new 2010 personality stack up?

By Genevieve Schmitt, Editor
2/7/2010: I'm always a little nervous when Harley-Davidson takes a particular model out of its line-up that's been there for more than a decade, especially one that is a favorite of mine. That usually means the model is going to get a makeover -- and that's exactly what happened when the Dyna Wide Glide, as we knew it, was discontinued in 2009.
