I'm a New Rider. Should I Ride in Front or Back?

Best position when riding with a friend

If you have a question, email it to gschmitt@womenridersnow.com.

I just got my motorcycle license and I am still a new rider. My husband insists that I ride in front of him when we're out riding so he can keep an eye on me. I feel pressure though to ride a certain speed and also that he's "judging" my riding from behind. I'd rather ride behind him, but he said that's not good to do because he can't watch me. What do you think? What's the best position for me, as a new rider, when I'm out with a riding buddy who's trying to "watch" me?

Thanks,
Denise
