Margie Bierman’s 2004 Honda VTX 1300S was originally black. Hard to imagine this
flashy pink bike as anything else!
I love the color pink and have collected hippos since I was in the fourth grade. I had my Honda VTX 1300S custom-painted pink with lifelike water drops. Water and hippos go together.

Margie’s bike memorializes Bubbles, the two-ton hippo that managed three escapes from California’s Lion Country Safari in 1978. Bubbles' name is airbrushed under the illustration of the hippos on the tank.

Margie’s handle is “Hippochick,” and it’s airbrushed on the trunk as well as her helmet.

Pinky, Margie’s pink stuffed hippo rides along with her. She’s decked out in leathers and has a scarf with her name on it.
The Honda VTX 1300S has been customized with Oxford heated grips, chrome trim, and an accessory trunk. I also added an Ultimate X seat and driver’s backrest. I had saddlebags shipped from a company in California, Mutazu, that has a variety of bags and accessories for Harleys and metric cruisers.
Nobody sold a pink-tinted windshield so I bought pink tint off eBay and tinted my windshield and lowers myself. I’ve added highway bars and crash bars to the Mutazu MU saddlebags. The front fender proudly displays a "Road Queen" logo. Most recently, I’ve replaced the spoke rims for cast wheels.

Margie has ridden her pink VTX 4,600 miles from Missouri to the Grand Canyon in Utah and Colorado and back. Way to go, Margie!
