The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) will hold its 2012 International Women & Motorcycling Conference in Carson City, Nev., on July 26-29, 2012 and has launched a specific Web site to keep riders updated on details. Ever since the last conference was held in 2009 in Keystone, Colo., women riders all over the world who have attended previous conferences have been wondering when and where the AMA would organize its next one. The conference has been held every three years over the last decade and brings female motorcyclists together for networking, riding, learning and more.

I attended the 2009 conference. I had a blast. I was hoping the 2012 conference would be closer to my home this time. I am still going to do my best to attend and hope too see some of my riding buddies there too!

I am stoked this event will be held so close to me this time. I attended last time in Keystone and and was happy to have made the trip. This one is closer and the timing is good. I will be returning from South Carolina from another convention and can ride straight to Carson for this one. Thanks so much for putting this together.

I am bummed at the timing and location. It's the same week-end as one of the biggest annual motorcycling events in the US (MotoGP/AMA Races), smack-dab in the middle of most of our summer vacations, and the location is well, really remote! Beautiful yes, but remote. I live in the state next door and it would take two days of riding/driving through some pretty desolate country to get there. Even flying into the closest airport (Reno) is a challenge for much of the country, with very limited rental options to make the trip to Carson City. I wish there could have been a time/place that did not automatically exclude so many of us.
