I rode mine Thursday! :D About 110 miles...alone. But it was great! It rained Sat and Sun here. I have about 7200 miles on her now. She had 2 miles on her when I bought it. :D Spring is almost here, YAAAAAY!

My bike was frozen in about 2" of ice in the flooded garage for most of last week, rained all day saturday and snowed all sautrday night, no riding in Northern Ohio this weekend. Brenda

That is a total bummer Brenda about the flooding and ice. I can't imagine having to deal with that. What a mess I'm sure. I'm hoping for a slow thaw so you all are not inundated with anymore flood waters. :D

Good to see some of us are getting out there though!

I did notice the robyns last week and was SO nice to see. A few weeks ago I started hearing the little birds chirping away so Spring will be here soon! Of course here in my part of the country Spring is not that much different than Fall or Winter, gray clouds and rain but every so often we get a day or two of good riding weather.

Yeah, the garage has thawed and dried out, more rain tomorrow, haven't seen robins in my neighborhood but the starlings come in swarms to the suet and seed, the sparrows are startring to sing, and I can hear cardinals too. Hubby is getting antsy to install the doodads that we acquired over the winter, I'm antsy to get the new hard leather bags on, gosh, they are huge, hope they fit. Brenda

Looks like we are going to have rain this weekend so no riding for me. The dealer is picking my bike up today to install the alarm and crash bars and hopefully they will have it back to me tomorrow cause Friday the weather is supposed to be good from riding. I sure do wish it would warm up some so I'm not freezing my hind end off everytime. I guess I need to be thankful that I get to ride at all.

Brenda, post a pic of your hard bags when you get them installed. I would love to see them! :D

No riding this weekend, did the next best thing, got to work on the bike! It warmed up Saturday to mid 40's, Hubby and I made no plans except bike work. Took 5 minutes to install the blinged out license plate but a good 90 miuntes to get the bags installed. Lots of measureing, eyeballing, drilling but they were on for about 5 minutes and look great, they are awfully big and just fit. However, the easy brackets need some modifying, having to remove the bags with a board and sledge hammer is not 'easy', a machine shop friend will have this remedied in the next few weeks, won't prevent me from riding as soon as the roads dry up. Rode Thursday!! First ride since last November. Was really worried nervous for several days, worried becuase I'm still very much a beginner, would I remember the friction zone, could I keep my balance, continue making smooth stops? Not excited nervous, ready to get out on the roads and happy to be riding. It was still in the 60's when we went out in the evening, streets not too busy, especially for St. Patrick's Day, went single file in some areas becuase of the chance of winter potholes. Only stalled once, only had one sloppy, shallow left turn, little rough on the throttle but it wasn't scarry, I loved it and am excited anxious to do it again. Brenda
