Me again.

Anyone know where I can find motorcycle boots for women that are made in the States or Canada?

I wear a pair of Ariat women's cowboy boots. I believe they were made in the USA, but can't seem to verify that. The reason I love these boots so much is they are flat (with a small heel - typical cowboy boots), but have a rubber bottom, so I don't slip when I put my feet down. I also blinged them out, added heel and toe jewelry, so they aren't borning.

Hi Beth,

Ya, I'm like you in that I ride with my cowboy boots. I have some Ariats too and LOVE them (they are made in China though :( ) I have pretty good footing with them but I was looking for just a bit more traction. Since this posted I have been having a problem (mentally) moving up to a "real" motorcycle boot because of the rounded toe that most have. With my cowboy boots it it pretty easy to get the toe of my boot under the shifter to shift up and I hate to give that up plus they are different looking than most everyone else. I didn't want to go with the square toe harness type boots either so I'm guess I'm hard to please.

Hi Ladies, just a bit about typical motorcycle boots, I have the Harleys with the round toe, in size 10 so you know it's a good size boot, I had to be careful when shifting to be sure my toe got under the shifter peg properly and not 'catch' or stick when my foot had to move off the platform. My husband was able to adjust the spacing of ther shifter peg, it can be moved 'up' to get more room for your toe. I have no problems at all with the toe fitting. It was troublesome when I did the MSF course, those little 250cc's, my big foot was always getting caught. Brenda
Hope for the Best. Expect the Worst. I am rarely Disappointed.

Hello, again,
I can't tell you how many pairs of boots I have had. I have had three pair of Harley and and I actually started out in Doc Martins. I have had the issue with Harley boots being too cluncky to fit under the shifter, too and had to have it moved. Since I riding a toruing bike now, I typically use the heel shifter, so I don't have those problems anymore (and my pretty Ariats don't get scuffed!). Some of the things I hate about riding boots is they are so manly. Just because I ride a motorcycle I don't want to look like a guy! I hope you can find some boots!

BTW, sad that my Ariats aren't American made :x

My husband has some 20+ years Harley boots--when they were still made in the US. Resoled several times and finally gave them up for a pair of Chippawa riding boots. He loves them. Very sturdy and excellent for traction on the bike. Very manly. I have Harley boots and as someone else mentioned, very clunky. I too often catch my toe on the shifter and even on the rear brake. I use them around town, with rough weather. I prefer to ride with my Lucchese' cowboy boots. A local cobbler put on rubber soles and heels--comfort, safe gripping, and look great.
