Pismo-2-Pozo Motorcycle Ride- June 3

Hello Ladies!
I'm reaching out to those in the Central Coast California area to participate in this ride! We need more women there!

Here are the details:
Who: All types of motorcycle riders wanted!
What: Pismo to Pozo Spring Run, $35
When: Sunday, June 3, 2012, check in time 9:30am, leave at 10:30
Where: Check in at Huckleberry's (300 Five Cities Drive, Pismo Beach)
Why: To help athletes go for the gold in the Olympic games!
Includes: Pancake and sausage breakfast at start site, Santa Maria style BBQ at Pozo, live music, and a ride shirt.
Register by May 21 to guarantee your shirt.

Special Olympics is such a great cause! Were there few folks who showed up in the past only because of a bit of rain?!! I'll have it on my prayer list. You're likely advertising this everywhere you can think of. Best of luck, fingers crossed for ya!

Well, definitely less people show up! A couple years ago the ride was as big as 1000 people, and these more recent years barely turn up 100 people! I've been posting it on every online site, in dealerships, and at every local shop I can think of. I would ride myself, but that's the trouble with planning it! I might be able to next year

Well, I hope the rain is the only reason there's been a lot fewer in attendance.
I know it takes a lot of planning and work to put on such an event. Great for you, I think what you are doing is fab!!

We've also noticed a drop in numbers for our Gold Wing events and we've thought since money is tight for most folks these days that they just don't have as much or any to play with. Of course weather can play a big part in event attendance too. Maybe next year will be a better turn out.

So... unfortunately, we have to cancel this event to low attendance
But we will have a bigger ride November 4 if your not doing anything!

Sara, I feel for you!! I have planned events in the past and found out through that experience, it's not as easy as it looks. It seems these days, people expect a lot, which is frustrating. Sometimes I wonder!
