Burgmanlady, let us know how it goes. I can empathize with the man issue, for sure!
And I, too, have often said they can try the patience of a saint.
If you were to get a crew of big strapping guys to help, I think there's no way he'd sit and do nothing and look like a wimp in front of them.
I'm still trying to figure this one out. I understand some of it, but not all of it. If I understood all of it, then I'd be able to do something that would spark a change in my (all wives', for that matter) favor and I'd be rich. Why is it that husbands perform in front of others to impress them with their "superior intelligence" , but won't be the same hero in front of their wives, like they were at the beginning of the relationship?! And B'lady, your story is a prime example. Maybe we can find the answer together?!!

Update! Well, we left Fletcher, got over to Greensboro, NC. It was raining again. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. Bike still not right. Then we left the next morning and went to Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach and stayed at the Base RV Park. It stormed so bad. Then seemed to rain everyday. Friday Night the cold front came in. We left there on Sunday and now we are at my niece's house in Havelock, NC. Yesterday took the Scoot to Lejeune Motorsports in Jacksonville, NC. They said there was 2 things wrong, one was debris on the screw in the injectors, and the other was that Sloan's put the wrong type of screw on my battery terminal, don't think their shop will touch my scoot again. So, then rode back to Havelock, no problems, and now no more expensive premium gas. Hope it keeps running good now. Tomorrow we will head down to Columbia, SC and see my other niece and nephew, one from Mike's side, the niece is a 1st. Lt. The nephew from my side is a SSgt. They actually work in the same area, but didn't know each other. LOL!! From there we are heading down to New Smyrna Beach. Please rain Gods keep the rains away for a while.

Will post more later. Thank you all for the good thoughts.

What's the difference between a scooter and a motorcycle? Scooters have come a long way since the Vespa Days. Burgman Lady, your scoot looks BIG. I guess I should google it or something, but I'll bet you'll give me the down low! Doing a "Dry Dance" for you so you can enjoy the rest of your ride.... :D Leanne

Hey Leanne...I'm sure that Faye will give you all the important stuff but it's a Burgman 650... we have 3 of them in our GWRRA chapter that are triked..one is with a Trinity Trike kit, and 2 with Tow Pac kits. Two of them have about 4 years of experience and the other one only a few months. The two ladies with more experience keep up with the GoldWings without a problem and are ready to ride. It's an automatic.

Karin, what sucks on the schedule looks good in the paycheck, that's what I always tell myself when I'm in to the 9th or 10th hour of the day.

The Suzuki Burgman is a maxi scooter. 650 CC, will do 120 MPH if you really want to. I ride with Goldwings, Harleys, and anyone else who wants to ride with us.

Tonight we are In Santee, SC. We were going to stay at the State Park, but I wimped out. Quality Inn won out. Nice bed, shower, Internet, and free breakfast in the morning.

We will be in New Smyrna Beach tomorrow. Then we are going to set up and chill out a couple of days before Biketoberfest.
Will update more later. Right now, I am heading to bed.

Quack, quack, Faye, glad you checked in, was wondering about you. Holiday Inn Express is my version of camping and we had the same rainy, cold weather, last weekend was completely washed out but dry and sunny the last few days, threatening 81 & 83 this weekend. Isn't it amazing what one wrong little wiget will do to an engine, glad Snowflake is running good, you need that girl to be happy.
Sending you sunshine, Brenda

Brenda, I don't think that sunshine made it to the sunshine state! We got set up last night here in New Symrna Beach and then the rain started, and it has be relentless! They say its going to rain all weekend and possibly Monday too. Since we are here till the 16th, gotta make the best of it. Thank goodness for the digital TV, which doesn't work all that well, but I do get a weather channel from Orlando, and some educational stations, ABC, CBS and NBC are iffy. Just hoping we don't float away. Daytona has already had over 3 inches of rain. Not sure how much we are goinig to end up with.

Leanne, there is no way that I could ever go back to tent camping But I would seriously give a small tent trailer such as Liesuer-Lite a try or buy a class C motorhome & haul Baby on a trailer. Can't pull the 40 with the Wing. Damn it.

Burgman Lady, sorry you are having those issues! I could tell ya stories of stupid stuff shops have done to my bike that have caused problems. :x
After what you went through, not surprised that you insisted on a concrete "tent".
Get home safe! Oh, and so sorry to hog the sunshine, it's been over here.
