We left New Smyrna Beach, on Monday after Biketoberfest. We rode to Crawford, FL. stayed at a Best Western, not great but clean. The next day we came to Long Beach, MS. We have been here at my friend's house ever since. We were suppose to leave yesterday, but she needed help, and so we are still here. If things work, we might leave tomorrow. I guess we should think about going home, since we left there on the 21st of September. Been gone over a month. But, I am loving this warm weather and no rain.

Sounds like a good time. It is so nice that you can take time out of your life to help a friend in need. Show just what kind of person you are. Just think if you stay long enough, you'll miss Nashvilles winter. hehehehe

Got home around 9:30 PM, tonight. One month and 10 days later, had to come back to reality. Glad to be home.

That setup looks very compact and efficient, sensible set up for M/C camping. Did you meet other bike campers? I'm not a camper, unless it comes with room service, but have heard from friends that they do and enjoy it a lot. Being a big rig driver must have given you an edge but did it take a while to balance the trailer with the bike?

Glad you're home for a while, must have more vacation stories to tell.

Actually, most of the time, I kept looking in my mirrors to make sure the trailer was there. It is the easiest little trailer to pull and to detach and move around, very well balanced.
I think the driving a big rig helped me as far as packing. People tend to pack more than they actually need. When I got home, we had food that we didn't use, clothes we didn't wear. Now I know what and how much to take. If you don't have it with you, buy it. The biggest thing that I liked was when we did stay at Motels, I stock up on shampoo, conditioners, lotions and soaps. They are small and they pack well inside ziplock baggies. Always use those.....messy if you don't.

WOW! We've camped on our bikes and I generally think it's a PITA, but that looks awesome! I am totally going to check those things out...

I have always loved camping & my partner & I used to do it a lot off the back of my old Virago. @ that time we used the saddle bags & a very large hikers backback. but now that we have the Wing & trailer, we don't do any camping as the old bones won't allow for that. And just now finaces do not allow for motels.

I'll see if I can post a pic of the trailer I built.
