1895: Don't for women riders

by wingryder92 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 8:14 am

Ladies, I was looking at different web sites and came across this one. It's a list of DON'TS for women riders back in 1895 and I thought ya'll would get a good laugh from it. I do think we need to take pics of our BLOOMERS and post in a new topic  Not sure if we should just take pics of just the bloomers or if we need to model them in the pic  ...enjoy the thoughts 'cause I know some crazy ones will be going through your pretty little heads!!! I know it's for bicycles but surely we could use the info for m/c's. Right?

Thanks for the laugh Debra. I'm afraid I went from my "bicycle face" to my "laughing out loud, hope I don't mess up my loud-hued leggings" face while reading the list. Now I need to put my Garden Party Hat back on and get back to work. Happy Trails... Leanne :D

 I will make sure not to use "bicycle slang" and leave that for "the boys". It's funny to us now but back then it was serious business.

Thanks for posting.

I'm waiting for all of us to show up in our bloomers or pantalooms (?). Can you imagine what we'd look like if we did all those things on the list. We'd be strutin' for sure!
