Best antidepressant EVER!

by LeanneB » Thu Sep 29, 2011 1:02 pm

Well, I've survived my first week off of the various antidepressants that I've taken over the past 15 years. And I can honestly say that I FEEL better than I have in 15 years. And that's not to say that the medication wasn't appropriately prescribed at a time in my life when pharmacology was a necessity.... but since finding my Bliss (my bike) and learning to ride a year ago, I can say I feel fantastic, confident and strong. There is nothing like being on Bliss, and having nothing but a beautiful piece of asphalt leading down the road to another adventure. Yes, grandchildren have contributed to a certain joy that only they hold the key to. And yes, having a career that's rewarding has contributed. Being at peace with my personal relationships contributes as well. But Bliss is what helped me walk away from taking medications to stay sane.

Any one else out there with similar experiences?? with love, Leanne :D

Leanne, it sounds like Bliss was the final dose of Karma that you needed to effect your own cure. I'm so happy that all the positive cosmic forces have come together in your life at the same time. And your personal strength is equally important, it has sustained you all through the last 15 years and led you to this place. Enjoy and thanks for sharing, makes me more thankful too for all the good things in myself. Brenda
Hope for the Best. Expect the Worst. I am rarely Disappointed.

Oh, and I forgot the BEST part. I'm 30# lighter than I was a year ago, too! Probably an effect of discontinuing the med over the past 6 months AND being more active since Bliss has been around. Have a fantastic weekend. I will be working 5,ooo miles away from home but working out the details of another road trip! Coping Skills... yeah, I got me some!
