Your top 5 bikes

by Babired » Thu Jul 07, 2011 10:34 am

Let's say you had room in your garage or shed for 5 other motorcycles and money to spare, besides what you are riding today what motorcycles would you have?
My top 5 choices would be:
1.Suzuki M109R the mega cruiser to look cool going down the highway, it would have chrome wheels, blue paint with a white racing stripe.
2.KTM 990 which is a super moto tall, light, orange and black colors to ride with the Buell boys on their fast rides
3. BMW800RS white, for a little sport touring
4. Moto Guzzi V-7 classic red or white for the around town commuting
5. HD trike red fully loaded for the long road trips
What are your top 5 choices?

Wow, tough question Kathy, I haven't been riding long enough to lust after another bike, will give it some thought but I know the color will be red or a creamy white. Brenda

I haven't been on a single demo ride day that the dealers/manufacturers have, but these ones look good, and to my recollection, feel comfortable to sit on, to me, too.

1) H-D Dyna Low Rider.
2) BMW, one of the newer 1200cc tourers, with an ultra low seat.
3) A dirt trail bike.
4) A Triumph Bonneville.
5) Maybe a Honda VTX1300.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I have an '07 BMW R1200RT, its my favorite bike ever, so its on the list.
I would like to have a Ducati Monster 1200S just because.
I liked the BMWF650GS well enough to buy it although I still don't haven't found a niche for it in my life. . .
I'd like a Honda Trail 90, just for the memories. ;)
I've never ridden a Harley, so I'll put the Road Glide on for grins. :D

Morning,
Since you put down a tourer don't forget to at least give a Honda GoldWing a couple of demo rides. The 1800 handles great and is much like a sport-tourer. It's got the speed and comfort and gas mileage is usually around 42-45. You bling it to your liking and get on it and ride! Keep the maintenance up as required and it'll rarely if ever let you down!

I've been clicking back to this thread trying to figure out what my top 5 would be (my bike not included). Since you said "if I had money to spare"......

1) My Dads first bike (1975? Honda 90 "S")

2) My Mom's first bike (1975? Honda step thru).

3) The Bat bike.

4) An Evil Kenevil bike.

5) 1920 Indian used in the Worlds Fastest Indian movie.
