Hey from Rhode Island!

Postby dazzelindevils » Sun Oct 02, 2016 9:15 am

Hey everyone, I am new to the forums and just wanted to say hi!

I'll tell you a little about myself. I am a full-time undergrad living in Bristol, RI. I am in my senior year of school, and I property manage the local industrial park with my boss. In my free time I like to work on motorcycles, photograph, make random art, and sew! I am learning how to sew leather right now.

I have a 1980 Suzuki GS550 L that I got a year ago. The poor bike was left to die by the previous owner, had a broken float post in the carbs, and wasn't running at all. Over the past year I have been working on every little part of my bike to get it running proper. I have learned so much, and feel awesome when I'm out on the road!

Enjoy riding everyone!
Devon

Hi Devon and welcome. I'm a rider, not a wrencher, I leave that to my Hubby so I'm giving you a BIG ATTAGIRL for resurrecting the GS. That's the bike I rode for my MSF class. You have some beautiful roads in your neighborhood, I've seen ride reports from that area, nice, very scenic.
Waiting for pictures of the Vulcan.

Thank you all! I gotta say, wrenching gives me a whole other connection to my bike. I highly recommend it!

There is definitely some nice riding up here. Lots of bikes too!

Welcome Devon. I'm impressed. I'm not a wrencher at all...
