Hello from Port Charlotte, FL

Postby lalamacias » Fri Nov 21, 2014 5:04 pm

At age 44 I finally gave in to my whisper; I earned my endorsement Dec 2013 and have put on a little over 2500 miles so far and counting. I am on my 2nd bike and moving quickly towards my 3rd. My husband (and sometimes my daughter who rides behind my husband) have ridden in the mountains of TN, ridden to Key West and back. Our next adventure is up the east coast of FL then in May to the Grand Canyon. We ride with friends but I am interested in finding more people to ride with as well.

Wow! I am impressed with your 2500 miles in your first year! Welcome! What is the next bike going to be?

I am trying to talk myself into the new Triumph Thunderbird but I feel like it is too heavy so I will probably end up with the Triumph America. We are going to the Grand Canyon this May so I want a bigger bike. I don't want to end having to get a bigger one later but am conflicted about the weight. Have you seen the new seat on the Thunderbird - heaven's cloud!

HI and welcome! :D Great to see you have been clocking up the miles and already looking ahead to your next ride. I personally love the Triumph America and have read lots of great reviews about them. NO matter what you decide to buy, it sounds like you are loving the journey and enjoying every mile.

Thanks for all the welcome ladies! We trailered to TN but rode to the Keys. We are headed (on the bikes) to St. Augustine after Thanksgiving. Can't wait!
